Publications For Kids

The Census Administration published three sets of the Census Educational booklets and Teachers' Manuals for the three educational levels: Primary, Preparatory and Secondary Schools. The booklets were prepared by an educational committee of specialists from the Ministry of Education and Sultan Qaboos University in collaboration with the Census  Administration staff. The booklets, which are the first of their kind, were taught over two periods during the first semester of the academic year (2003/2004) in all the schools of the Sultanate. The booklets also include competitions designed to encourage students to take a keen interest in the census. A number of valuable prizes was given for them.
