Census Stages
The population census definition interprets the stages of the census program,
which are:
The Preparatory Stage
where:

for various census stages are designed.

Enumeration Stage
Sometimes
called the field works stage, it consist of two activities of
operational tasks:
The First Activities:
The preliminary field works. This activity constitutes:

the field offices and suitably equipping them.

Shipment of
material items such as forms, publications, equipment and devices
and stationery to the place of work.

Selection and
training of the stuff.

Updating of
previously prepared tables of buildings, housing units, households
and establishments.

Second Activities:
The actual enumeration of population and housing and the following
processes related to finalizing the field works.
Data Processing Stage
During this stage, a
set of operations leading to the generation of census final results are
conducted. These operations are:
- Imputation and
editing data.
- Coding of
miscoded data.
- Data
entry and preparation of required data in accordance with the
systems and programs designed for the purpose.
Evaluation and
Analysis Stage
Assessment of data is
the close study of the collated data and the indicators derived thereof.
The study entails assessment of the validity and accuracy of the data
and that it initiates no discrepancy with the data collected by other
sources. This will be completed before it is made available for users.
Data Analysis, in
short, is the study of obtained figures and indicators, interpretation
of the impact of various associated factors that affect the general
standard of the data. This application adds further depth to the census
results and enhances the utilization of the data.
Results Publication
Stage
The aim of
this process is make the collected and audited census data handy to
interested parties. As part of this process, all the reports of the
assessment results and the analytical studies are published.
