Establishments Census

A combined database merging the information obtained from MM, MOCI and MONE was created and the resultant data for all the 23,000 establishments in Muscat Governorate was loaded in the outer memory of the HHD, in a way that the Controller “Crew-leader” can enquire about any establishment by enter the Municipality code number. Should the establishment was registered, then the basic information of the particular establishment such as name, commercial registration will show up in the monitor. Otherwise the establishment will be entered as a new establishment.

In case of faulty entry of the Commercial Registration, the application will require the operator to reenter twice. If the economic activity is entirely detailed and complying with the ISIC, then the application will forbid introducing any alteration or changes. If it was not, then the Crew-leader has to reclassify the activity and so on until he/she finishes all the pertinent data required from that establishment.

At the end of each working day, the data was downloaded and the daily follow up reports were prepared, audited and sent to the main office at the ministry.
