The Committee The Census National Supreme Committee

The National Supreme Committee for the census formed by the Royal Decree No. 87/2001 is deemed the supervisory body of the census project and its relevant implementation progrmmes. It is thus defined as the directive organ responsible for the assembling and steering the participation of various government sectors to secure the basic requirements of the census project.

The Census Technical Committee

The Technical Committee has been formed in accordance with the Ministerial Decision No. (9/2002) under the chairpersonship of H.E. the Undersecretary of the Ministry of National Economy for Development Affairs, and membership of:

H.E. Undersecretary of Ministry of National Economy for Economic Affairs.
H.E. Undersecretary of Ministry of Education for Curriculum Affairs.
H.E. Undersecretary of Ministry of Commerce & Industry for Commercial & Industrial Affairs.
H.E. Undersecretary of Ministry of Health for Planning Affairs.
Director General of Census.
Director General of Technical Education at the Ministry of Manpower.
Director General of Economic Statistics at the Ministry of National Economy.
Director General of Local Affairs at the Office of the State Minister and Governor of Dhofar.
Director General of Civil Cases at the Royal Oman Police.
Director of Department of Boarders at the Ministry of Interior.
The Director at the Office of the Secretary General of the Council of Ministers.
Head of the Census Technical Affairs Secretary and Rapporteur

Census Information Committee

The Information Committee has been formed by the Ministerial Decision No. (9/2002) under Chairpersonship of H.E. Undersecretary of the Ministry of Information, and membership of:

Deputy Director General of Census.
Director of Educational Information at the Ministry of Education.
Director of Women Associations at the Ministry of Social Development.
Director of Religious Researches at the Ministry of Awqaf & Islamic Affairs.
Director of Public Relations & Information at Sultan Qaboos University.
Director of Developmental Information at the Ministry of National Economy.
Director of Hygiene Awareness and Information at the Ministry of Health
Deputy Director of Public Relations & Conferences at the Public Authority for Youth Sports & Cultural Affairs.
Oman News Agency Editor in Chief.
