The National Supreme Committee for Census formed by the Royal Decree No. 87/2001 is deemed the supervisory body of the census project and its relevant implementation progrmmes. It is thus defined as the directive organ responsible for the assembling and steering the participation of various government sectors to secure the basic requirements of the census project.

Census Technical Committee

The Technical Committee has been formed in accordance with the Ministerial Decision No. (9/2002) under the chairpersonship of H.E. the Undersecretary of the Ministry of National Economy for Development Affairs, and membership of:

H.E. Undersecretary of Ministry of National Economy for Economic Affairs.
H.E. Undersecretary of Ministry of Education for Curriculum Affairs.
H.E. Undersecretary of Ministry of Commerce & Industry for Commercial & Industrial Affairs.
H.E. Undersecretary of Ministry of Health for Planning Affairs.

Director General of Technical Education at the Ministry of Manpower.
Director General of Economic Statistics at the Ministry of National Economy.
Director General of Local Affairs at the Office of the State Minister and Governor of Dhofar.
